Dr Leigh-Anne Lynch

Clinical Psychologist (adults, children and adolescents)

Dr Leigh-Anne Lynch is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over sixteen years post-qualification experience working in the NHS in a variety of settings providing psychological assessment and treatment. She is a co-founder and practitioner at The Beacon Practice, an independent psychology therapy service dedicated to delivering high quality, evidence-based psychological support. She has extensive experience in working with adults, children and adolescents. She is friendly and approachable and draws on a variety of different therapeutic approaches in order to tailor treatment to each individual.


She currently works in the NHS in an adult mental health service working with a variety of presenting difficulties. Prior to her current post she worked extensively in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). There she worked with young people who had a variety of conditions such as behavioural issues and emotional difficulties such as anxiety and depression. She has substantial experience working with people who have neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She has a wealth of experience working with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, grief, low self-esteem, adjustment difficulties, PTSD and attachment / interpersonal difficulties. She is trained to draw on a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy. 


Leigh-Anne can offer consultations remotely or in person at the clinic room in Peel Park, Redwood Crescent, East Kilbride. She offers a free 15 minute phone consultation to briefly discuss needs and ensure she is the best fit for you. Leigh-Anne works on a Friday during school hours.
