Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience in the NHS and currently splits her time between the NHS and private practice.Â
Rachel holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).Â
She specialises in helping people overcome difficult experiences that impact on their mental health and wellbeing. People often find themselves stuck in the past, worrying about the future or repeating the same patterns over and over. Rachel can help you explore these patterns and make changes in areas of your life that are important to you.
With a background of working in psychological trauma, she has experience working with a range of difficulties, such as: low mood, anxiety, relational difficulties, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD).
Rachel is trained in a range of evidence based interventions: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TFCBT) Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) Schema Therapy and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). She works an integrative way, incorporating a range of theories and models into her practice, which allows her to develop a unique treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Rachel has extensive experience of providing supervision, consultation and training both within the NHS and wider settings.
