Dr Katie Smith

Katie is an experienced, warm and professional clinician who works with adults experiencing a range of challenges to their mental health and wellbeing.  She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has 20+ years of experience of psychological assessment, therapy, supervision, consultation and training.  She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)  and is a chartered member of the British Psychological Association (BPS). She works collaboratively with clients to develop an in-depth understanding of their current challenges and will form an individually-tailored treatment plan based on her knowledge of various evidence-based approaches, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and other modern forms of CBT.  Katie is experienced in working with many different psychological presentations including depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal difficulties and adjustment to physical health problems.  She has special interests in women's health and gender dysphoria. Katie works with adults 18+.  She provides face-to-face appointments at The Loft, Clarkston and Spiersbridge Business Park as as well as video call appointments.
