Profile Information

I am an Educational and Child Psychologist specialising in supporting children and young people with additional support needs, including learning difficulties, disabilities, and high levels of anxiety. I work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to develop a clear understanding of each child’s strengths, challenges, and wellbeing. My goal is to help children  develop coping skills and self-awareness through practical, evidence-based support.

I provide therapeutic support for children, young people, and families, using creative approaches that are tailored to individual needs. This includes Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution-focused approaches, and mindfulness-based methods.  I also offer comprehensive assessments of learning, neurodiversity, and mental health and wellbeing, providing clear, accessible feedback and guidance for children and young people, parents and carers, and schools and nurseries.

My practice is trauma-informed, recognising the impact of past experiences on current emotional wellbeing. I adopt a warm, open, and collaborative approach, creating a safe environment where children and young people feel heard and supported. Working in partnership with parents and carers, I focus on strategies that can be used at home and in school to promote wellbeing and positive progress. I also provide consultation and therapeutic support to parents.

I hold a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Dundee, along with Masters and Postgraduate qualifications in psychology and Educational psychology from UK universities. My professional training includes approaches such as CBT, EMDR, solution focused approaches and mindfulness. I am also trained in carrying out a wide range of assessments relating to learning,  neurodiversity and mental health and wellbeing. I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have also served as a Partner Tutor at the University of Dundee, contributing to the professional development of educational psychologists.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to discuss your child’s needs and how I can support their learning and wellbeing
