Profile Information
Dr Lizzie Piper is warm and compassionate with over 20 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist within the NHS and the private sector. She creates a calm and professional space where you can feel safe to explore difficult experiences and move towards psychological well-being.
Lizzie is experienced with many different psychological and physical presentations including anxiety, trauma, stress, depression, self-esteem, difficulties with relationships, and challenging life changes such as separation, bereavement, peri-menopause, physical ill-health and many other stressful or overwhelming experiences. Lizzie draws on a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, tailoring treatment to each individual in a collaborative way. Her main therapies include Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), modern forms of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. Lizzie has special interests in physical health conditions, and living with neurodivergence.
Lizzie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC PYL20689 ) and is a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologists (ACP). She provides clinical supervision for psychologists and other healthcare professionals. Lizzie works with adults 18+, she provides face-to-face appointments at The Loft, Clarkston as well as video call appointments.
