Profile Information

Choosing a therapist is a significant step, and finding someone who truly "gets it" is vital. Dr Rebecca Anthony provides a space where clinical expertise meets genuine empathy. While her practice is grounded in the highest level of psychological training, Rebecca’s approach is uniquely informed by her own lived experience. This dual perspective allows her to bridge the gap between professional theory and the reality of navigating life’s most difficult chapters.

Rebecca specialises in supporting teenagers, adults, and families through periods of significant adjustment and transition. Life rarely follows a linear path. Whether you are navigating a new physical health diagnosis, managing the emotional toll of chronic pain, or facing a major life change, such as a career change, relationship end, or loss, that has left you feeling "stuck," Rebecca offers a compassionate, evidence-based roadmap forward.

She has a particular interest in helping people find their footing when the "ground has shifted." This includes:

  • Life Transitions: Navigating the "new normal" after a major life change.

  • Health & Wellbeing: Supporting the mind-body connection during illness or injury.

  • Emotional Resilience: Helping those struggling with anxiety, low mood, or trauma to find a sense of safety and purpose again.

Rebecca moves away from a "one size fits all" model, instead collaborating with you to understand your unique story. She integrates a variety of advanced therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This allows her to provide both deep, reflective work and practical tools to manage intense emotions.

Beyond the clinic, Rebecca is a compassionate listener who prioritizes the human connection above all else. Her goal is not just to reduce symptoms, but to empower you with the self-awareness and resilience needed to thrive.

Rebecca offers a free 15-minute initial consultation to help you decide if she is the right fit for you. In a calm, secure, and non-judgmental environment, she will work with you to move toward a more meaningful and authentic life, regardless of the challenges you are currently facing.
