Profile Information

We often adapt and accommodate others over our own needs and wellbeing. By allowing space to offload, process and focus on the root matter, we can make some lasting and meaningful changes.

How my approach might help - person-centred

My goal is to help you identify the real problem, rather than jump into solutions, so that changes can come about more smoothly and are sustainable. After laying out the landscape in the first session or two, I invite you to explore various contributing factors at your own pace.

I ask questions and won’t leave you hanging.  My intention is to follow alongside you to help you uncover what might be going on, to raise self-awareness and self-compassion, encouraging you to notice what may be of value to you and what perhaps continues out of habit but no longer serves you.

What is the mismatch between where you currently are and where you want to be? I believe that once we truly understand and accept the difference, we can begin to figure out how to bridge the gap. Some of the conflicting factors can stem from upbringing (such as family or cultural issues) or neurodiversity factors (such as ADHD or autism), and you are welcome to explore these.

A space for loss

I have a focus on bereavement counselling as I believe that all pain can be attributed to loss and grief over a life that was or a life that could have been. The theories of grief can help us make sense of our anguish when we lose a relationship, a job, as well as the passing of a loved one. As a rainbow mum, I also have a special interest in supporting those through pregnancy and infant loss, rainbow pregnancies and fertility issues.
