Profile Information
We might all experience times in life where we need a little bit of extra help or support. You may be suffering with a range of difficulties like anxiety, stress, depression, lack of confidence, low motivation, or relationship issues. It can be easy to find yourself feeling stuck and unable to move forward. My aim is to guide you through ways to gently challenge your thinking and develop further resilience and coping skills to move forward in life.
The work we would do together would be a collaborative process, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you find your way out of a difficult time in your life. I provide a compassionate, and non-judgmental space for us to explore this together.
I have nine years of experience working in mental health, with seven years of experience working in the NHS across a range of different services specialising in adult mental health, learning disabilities, child and adolescent mental health, and neuropsychology. I trained as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) at the University of Stirling and the University of Dundee in 2023. I have worked as a CAAP in the NHS for the last three years, delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to adults with a range of difficulties. This has given me extensive experience dealing with difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, adjustment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and body dysmorphic disorder. These experiences have allowed me to develop a systemic view of the range of difficulties people can come across from all walks of life and how our mental health can be impacted by factors out with our control. Through additional training I have developed skills in adapting therapy for Neurodivergent adults with Autism and/or ADHD.
I provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a range of difficulties, and Behavioural Activation (BA) for depression. These sessions are offered in person or via video call. I am an accredited CBT therapist with the BABCP which means I adhere to a code of ethics regulated by a professional body.
If you feel ready to take a step towards making positive changes in life and would like to discuss this further, please get in touch for a free 15-minute introductory call, with no obligation.
