Thank you for viewing my page. My name is Mark and I am an experienced counsellor supporting adults, young people, and children as young as ten. Counselling offers the opportunity to explore, challenge and overcome thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences which continue to have a negative effect on your psychological and emotional wellbeing. Working together, you will develop the self-belief, agency, and resilience to heal laying the building blocks for a better life.

For over 10 years I have had the privilege of counselling adults and teenagers with a variety of issues including relationships, recent and historical childhood trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, mental health diagnosis, suicide ideation, coming to terms with neurodiversity, and other presentations. I specialise in working with clients who are waiting to be treated, currently being treated by, or completed treatment with CAMHS and adult psychiatry.

I am an accredited member of BACP and COSCA governing bodies.

Therapy Approach

I am a psychodynamic counsellor. I also offer an integrative approach with training in CBT techniques, Transactional Analysis and Person-Centred theories.

Age Specialism

I am very experienced working with adults and clients as young as 10. I hold a Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People validated by COSCA from the University of Strathclyde.  I have also been team leader and lead talking therapist for a children and young person's counselling charity for the past four years.
